Dutch Fort in Sri lanka



Located in the coastal city of Galle, has announced that the old Dutch fort "World Heritage Sites".
After the capture of the city of Galle from the Portuguese in 1640, began the Dutch East Indies (VOC) building fortifications covering nearly eighty-seven acres of land. Monuments within the walls of the castle is the original entrance, and the traditional Dutch buildings, and light house, the first maritime museum of Sri Lanka and the Dutch church, which was built in 1752. Day trip to Galle Dutch fort is an experience in itself and well worth the time.
