Arugam Bay in Sri Lanka

Arugam Bay is located in the east of Sri Lanka right north of Yala NTL. Park. It is known for big waves in July. Pottuvil, the town there are, respectively, the people there are suffering a lot from the civil war when the LTTE came in the night and killed many people. Everyone is happy, now that this does not happen.

There are dozens of fishing boats along the sandy beach. It is interesting to see how the fishermen sell their catch right on the beach today. During the peak season, a season surfing in the Gulf of Arugam, they land somewhere else and leave the beach for surfers.

The road from Welawaya very good (except for the last few kilometers, which was under construction in February 2010). There is a lot of guest houses and not all of them can be recommended. In a short time, when he finds tourism this wonderful place, there will be more and will increase the quality.
